What is FFA?
FFA is an intracurricular student organization for those interested in agriculture and leadership. It is one of the three components of agricultural education. FFA stands for the Future Farmers of America. Our great organization was first founded in 1928 in Virginia. Today, the National FFA Organization remains committed to the individual student, providing a path to achievement in premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education. FFA continues to help the next generation rise up to meet those challenges by helping its members to develop their own unique talents and explore their interests in a broad range of agricultural career pathways. So today, we are still the Future Farmers of America. But, we are the Future Biologists, Future Chemists, Future Veterinarians, Future Engineers, and Future Entrepreneurs of America.

What about Central DeWitt FFA?

Our chapter strives for excellence in many ways. Central DeWitt FFA provides an enviorment for members to make a positive influence on their own lives as well as their peers. We provide leadership and teambuilding opportunities through contests, conferences, scholarships, and workshops. Central DeWitt FFA was first established in 1937. Now, our chapter has grown to be one of Iowa's oldest FFA chapters! Central DeWitt FFA provides great areas of growth for students in and out of the classroom. If taken advantage of, FFA can take a member many miles!
