Written By Gavin Walker

A tremendous amount of classroom activities have taken place this December. In the agricultural leadership class, students have stayed busy doing there “Leadership activities”. These activities are an outstanding way to teach, and let the class demonstrate leadership with a hands on activity. A new assignment the Teach Me Something activity, is an opportunity for class members to teach an important life skill, that they consider themselves highly knowledgeable in. The plant science classes just took there unit test over soils and the particles in soil. In Animal science they are on the sheep unit learning all about them, before this they have also partook in units on pigs, turkeys, and cows. In middle school classes, students are exploring the many ways agricultural technology is transforming how we farm and work in agriculture. The AFNR class completed a unit on agricultural technology, including a unit assessment on it, and has now started a new unit focused on SAE’s and their requirements for it.
