Growing the Future: State Officer Inspires Ag Students

By: Amy Grantz

On Wednesday, September 30th, Central DeWitt agricultural education students

welcomed Iowa FFA State Secretary Erica Driscoll and SE NE VP Gracyn Koehler from

North Scott FFA to the ag education classroom for an engaging day focused on leadership

and teamwork. Students participated in a variety of hands-on activities designed to

strengthen communication, trust, cooperation, and problem-solving skills. Through

interactive challenges, students worked together to complete tasks while learning the

importance of listening, communicating clearly, and relying on their teammates. The State

Officers also shared their experiences and encouraged students to continue developing

their leadership skills both in and outside of the classroom. The visit provided students

with an opportunity to connect with FFA leaders while putting important leadership skills

into action. Also, FFA members Ethan Hoeft and Carlee Garrity conducted a media

interview for the state on their SAE projects. Thank you!
